The yahoo group is loaded with pictures of the various parts along with some machining setups. One is a Yahoo group on gatling guns (search yahoo groups for "Gatling") and the other is called "GatChat" which can be accessed through RG&G website. I would direct you to two sources for more information along with pictures of the guns and the machining.
The remaining parts are all made in the shop. There is a set of gears that are purchased but not expensive. You will need to find 10 barrells (.22 caliber) to cut down and machine to size which is one of the major costs. Material costs can get carried away if you do not have a source for cheap brass, there is a LOT of brass parts in both guns. They are both popular, the D&E gun is pretty much a exact scale replca and is the better looking of the two, the RG&G gun was optimized for ease of building at the sacrifice of looks.īoth guns are a complicated project but a excellent learing tool. There are 2 sets of plans out there, the D&E gun and Rg&G. I am in the process right now of building one from the D&E plans.
